Installation
Instructions. |
1. Unzip the files
to your steamapps\common\Cold Waters folder. You should end up with the ColdWatersMissionEditor.exe
and the ColdWaters.exe file in the same folder. |
|
Uninstallation
Instructions. |
1. Delete the
ColdWatersMissionEditor.exe from your steamapps\common\Cold Waters folder.
2. Delete the ColdWatersMissionEditor_Data folder from your steamapps\common\Cold
Waters folder. |
|
Starting the
Mission Editor |
1. Double click
on the ColdWatersMissionEditor.exe file in your steamapps\common\Cold Waters folder. |
2. Choose your
screen resolution. Resolutions below 1440x900 may result in menu clipping. I would
recommend running it in a window so that you can easily switch between the editor
and Cold Waters game. |
|
Editor Controls |
1. Clicking the
Right Mouse Button moves you around the main map and will snap the Mission
Map area's center to that point. |
2. Mouse scroll
wheel will zoom the view in and out. |
3. Clicking
& Dragging with the Left Mouse Button will allow you to reposition
the Player Sub Icon and any Waypoint Markers in the Mission Area
zone. |
|
Saving
Your Mission |
In
this version of the editor your mission will be saved as Single001.txt to your
Cold Waters\ColdWaters_Data\StreamingAssets\override and will overwrite any mission
that might already be there. |
|
Important Information
The editor is by default set up for Complex Missions where you will need
to define waypoints for each enemy group. If you do not want to define waypoints
then Untick the Use Custom Positions tick box on the Enemy Group
settings menu. When this box is unticked enemy units will be given waypoints and
grouped automatically while the player will be positioned ready to engage. |
